Born To Be Wild. A Fred Perry short film that talks all about subcultures, from how they started to how they evolved. The first subject brought up is the “teenager”, how young kids, mostly in the working class, are able to be more and more independent. The first and the most spoken about subculture in this film are the Teddy boys. The Teddy Boys that based their lifestyle on their looks that were always polished. At the same time another youth group “The Rockers“, that had a more ruff and in a way more masculine look, based their life on fighting and motorbikes. In the end the film explains how media had a huge impact on these subcultures, making them taboo, from  the teddy boys to the skinheads. But with all this attention these youth cultures are no more for a small group making a statement but it becomes too popular and looses the real meaning.
