A skinhead is a member of a subculture originating among working class youths in London, England in the 1960s that soon spread to other parts of the united kingdom, with a second working class skinhead movement speeding to the United States and worldwide in the 1980s.

Skinhead subculture originated in the 1960s in the working class parts of London. The youth culture came from diverse cultures like the immigrant culture, Jamaican ,punk music and poor working conditions. They could be classified as hard no surrender militant working class mods, really stripped down”. This subculture died out at the end of the 60s and a second movement started in the 70s witch looked like the earlier skinheads but was affiliated with nazi/racist movements, the only thing that was similar to the first youth culture was the clothes but not the style and the meaning.
